 Dress Code Reminders:

As the weather warms it is a good time to revisit the school dress code standards.  Click here to access the complete Quest Academy dress code page: Dress Code

Here are a few we would like to specifically remind you about:

  • Skirts, shorts or skorts are to be no shorter than 2 inches above the kneecap.
  • All shirts must be long enough to remain tucked in.
  • All students must wear closed toe and closed heel shoes with socks and stockings. Socks or footed tights must be worn at all times.
  • Shoes cannot have lights or wheels.
  • Hair must be kept neat and have a combed appearance and appropriate for school. No extreme hair color or styles, only “natural” hair colors are permitted (for example, fuchsia or “hot pink” hair is not “natural”).

What we are learning:

We are now beginning Unit 9 in Language Arts. Below are the sight words, oral vocabulary words, letters, and sounds we will be mastering during the next 3 weeks.  In addition, we continue to read decodable books and passages. You can encourage us to read the passages we bring home each week. We are also writing sentences about the texts we read.

As a class in math, we will be making teen numbers (ten and some more ones). Individually, the students are working to master their current selected math standard. Ask them about their Nearpod lessons and encourage them to try the challenge activity when they master the math standard.

In science and STEM, we are exploring weather patterns and how to prepare for different weather events. We will gather evidence to help us identify daily and seasonal weather patterns. We can show that we are understanding by coming to school prepared for the daily weather. For example, we can remember to bring our labeled water bottle so we stay hydrated and wear a jacket if it is cool outside.
