Clothing Drive for Kenya

One of our dedicated teachers, Alyssa Hill, along with her husband, are embarking on a humanitarian trip to Kenya this summer. During their journey, they will use their educational skills to teach and support a local village in need. To help make a difference, they are organizing a clothing drive to raise funds for vital projects and supplies that will benefit hundreds of people in Kenya. The drive will take place all day on January 17th, and we’d love your support! Donations will be accepted at Q2 anytime on January 17.

In addition to all types of clothing; bedding, pillows, towels, curtains, and purses are also accepted. Thank you for your support.

Middle of Year Testing

Students will be taking middle of the year assessments this week. A few things that will help the students during this week:

1- Sleep
2- A nutritious breakfast
3- An “I can do it” attitude– encourage them to do their best

We really appreciate your help with this! It makes a big difference to your student when they are well rested and not hungry for testing. We want every student to have the best shot possible at performing well on all mid-year assessments.

NOTE: Student health is our top priority. Please do not feel like there is a need to bring a sick child to school just because there is testing. If your child is sick it is best that they remain at home. Testing can be completed when they return healthy and well.

We are in need of additional healthy snacks such as, granola bars, fish crackers, fruit snacks, cheese sticks, pretzels, etc. Any donations can be dropped off at the office with a note for "Mrs. Hirano's Kindergarten".
