 Saying Goodbye

We have spent a year growing and learning together as a class family. It has been our experience that saying goodbye to teachers and friends can bring a variety of responses from our young children. Our hope is that the transition will be fun and exciting for all our students.

But it can be difficult for them to express how they are feeling and even more challenging for them to understand what they are feeling. They may express these feelings by acting out, struggling to come to class, no reactions, or many other ways. Please know this is normal.

It is very important to us that each of them knows that they will always hold a special place in our hearts. That we will continue to care for them, wherever they are- if we are close and see each other often or if we are far apart. Please know that you are always welcome to reach out to us, we enjoy hearing from our students and their families.

Here are a couple articles that have some practical ideas to support you and your child through this transition.
